Short Untitled Phlog Poem

A masochistic pleasure,
To want what I can’t have.
In a bountiful measure,
Absences of the heart.

Lisianthus (eustoma russellianum). While I was buying roses for Mother’s Day, I asked the florist if she had any (lisianthus). She said the cold weather had unusually precluded their sale at this time of year. Photo from

A buried deep down treasure,
In a world without shovels.
Tormenting cat of Cheshire,
A smile is my salvation.
