To Be a Writer


To be a writer is to see significance in a sudden stiff late-summer breeze. It’s to revel in the most unfortunate experience. It’s to jot down a note, in a scrap of paper, on one’s phone, or in the mind, knowing it might never be seen again. It’s patience. And most importantly, it’s to say as much as possible in as few words possible.
