Not that I’ll see her again.
Not that she loves me.
Just, that she’ll
Be ok.
That she’s happy.
That she’ll escape the confusion
And uncertainty that has
Plagued her all her life.
And be free.
Everyone deserves freedom.
And no-one I’ve met
Deserves it more
Than she does.
I’ve seen it within her.
Deep enough within her
Mind and heart
That she allowed me to see.
All she needs is the courage
To seize
And embrace it fully.
For the rest of her life.
I would give her all of mine.
